Orchids

Orchids is a platform designed for the modern AI-powered fullstack engineer, offering a streamlined way to build prototypes, apps, and websites with speed and elegance. It’s not just a tool—it’s a launchpad for creators who want to turn ideas into polished products without the usual friction of traditional development workflows.

At its core, Orchids empowers engineers to rapidly assemble functional, visually compelling applications by integrating AI-driven design, automation, and development tools. The platform showcases a wide array of real-world projects—from data science portfolios and e-commerce storefronts to security platforms and creative portfolios—demonstrating its versatility across industries.

What sets Orchids apart is its curated ecosystem of integrations and templates. Users can tap into platforms like Zapier for automation, Recraft AI for design, GitButler for developer tools, and FigJam for collaboration. Whether you’re building a sleek analytics dashboard, a boutique storefront, or a secure enterprise app, Orchids offers the scaffolding to get there faster.

The platform is especially appealing to engineers who value modularity, speed, and aesthetic polish. With its emphasis on rapid prototyping and fullstack flexibility, Orchids is ideal for solo builders, startup teams, and technical creatives looking to ship fast and iterate often.

  • AI-first fullstack builder: Combines design, development, and deployment into one seamless experience.
  • Real-world project gallery: Showcases dozens of live examples across industries—from fintech to fashion.
  • Plug-and-play integrations: Works with tools like Zapier, Recraft AI, GitButler, and more.
  • Rapid prototyping focus: Built for speed, letting engineers go from idea to MVP in record time.
  • Design-forward ethos: Prioritizes visual polish and user experience without sacrificing technical depth.

Status: SHUT DOWN — team joined Figma (July 18, 2026). It’s gone as a product.

  • The Orchids team (now “Bud”) announced on Jul 7, 2026 that they’re joining Figma, and both Orchids and its rebranded successor “Bud” (bud.app) were sunset on July 18, 2026. orchids.app now only functions as a migration/export portal, not an active builder.
  • So the “Orchids.app AI Fullstack Engineer” you documented no longer exists. Before shutting down it had rebranded to Bud (“the first agent with a full computer”) and was reportedly at 7-figure ARR before the Figma move.
  • If you built anything on Orchids/Bud: it needed to be migrated by Jul 18 — legacy web projects could be downloaded as ZIPs, GitHub-synced projects used their repo, managed Vercel deployments were claimable in your own account, and managed Supabase databases could be transferred to your own Supabase org.
  • The team’s AI fullstack talent now feeds into Figma Make — so the “prompt-to-app” energy they had effectively landed at Figma.
