Launched ~Dec 2024 / early 2025 by Encore (the makers of the Encore.ts open-source framework) — so it’s a “first-party” agent for Encore backends, not an independent startup.
Shipped Leap 2.0 a few months after launch: upgraded to Claude 4.5, handles enterprise-scale projects more reliably, added web browsing, image generation (Nano Banana), automatic build/fix loops, and “Think / Think harder / Ultrathink” reasoning modes — while staying cheaper as codebases grow.
Core value unchanged from your note: builds fullstack apps on Encore.ts and deploys to your own AWS/GCP (no proprietary PaaS lock-in); Neon is a Postgres option. Positioned “built for developers, for production workflows.”
